GNMOZ is currently looking for a GNMOZ is currently looking for a M&E Officer based in Chokwe or Mabalane District in Gaza province.
Fixed-term contract for 11 months (May 2022- March 2023)
Possibility of extension depending on the performance and the availability of funds.
Objective of the project
Improve health status of the community through the provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene services in Massangena District in Gaza Province, Mozambique.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
・Conduct the monitoring to evaluate the project implementation, achievements, and indicators in all components of the project;
・Research/analyze, interpret and, monitor and review information and data from regular and wide variety of sources for internal and external reporting;
・Provide the plan for the effective monitoring；
・Track the progress of activities, ensure the collecting of program indicators and provide on-time internal status reports and external donor reports;
・Ensure that all data and information is updated, well organized and easily accessible; and that lessons learnt and best practice are capitalized;
・Support coordination of activities between the project partners, implementing agencies and beneficiaries for timely and smooth implementation of the projects;
・Support the Program Manager and other core management staff to understand the Mozambican context and advise them accordingly;
・Fulfill other duties assigned by Project Manager and Project Manager;
・Work with the team (government-seconded staff) to ensure all activities are planned, prioritized, carried out and monitored in efficient and effective ways, with due consideration to gender and advocacy issues;
・Provide technical expertise and guidance to staff as appropriate, in assessment, monitoring, evaluation, reporting (Internal and Donor Reports);
・Work with the team to provide appropriate and regular verbal and written reports to the Project Manager;
・University degree in Economics or related fields;
・3 years of experience at professional level in Monitoring and Evaluation;
・Fluency in written and spoken English, Portuguese and a local language;
・Good computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word);

・Knowledge on how to prepare a community business proposal in a context of associations/cooperatives；
・Professional, motivated, open, creative, mature, responsible, flexible, culturally sensitive;
・Ability to adapt to restrictive local conditions;

・Ability to work in isolated conditions;
