Technical Manager

A company based in Maputo, is recruiting a Technical Manager for Tete.

Main responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise the execution of mechanical, electrical and civil construction projects at all stages;
• Coordinate the management of maintenance contracts and operation of technical facilities and equipment;
• Responsible for preparing estimates, cost reports, forecasts, schedules, budgets and change requests;
• Manage and monitor the availability of tools and take corrective action whenever necessary;
• Provide feedback on the conditions and need for maintenance;
• Dealing with operations in relation to the maintenance plan and non-compliance with it, as well as dealing with maintenance service providers;
• Analyze breakdown incidents to provide support for maintenance strategies and standards;
• Control and manage maintenance resources;
• Interact with the regional operations team in relation to breakdown events, repair defects and corrective actions; evaluate and approve maintenance-related purchases;
• Analyze maintenance expenses and costs in we have targets and budget;
• Ensure that all administrative requirements are met in maintenance operations, in compliance with company and customer standards;
• Conduct periodic performance evaluation in accordance with company requirements;
• Participate in and conduct the recruitment and selection processes of the maintenance sector;
• Plan and approve license applications from the entire direct team;
• Audit and supervise subcontractors and suppliers;
• Monitor the use of maintenance machines;
• Permanently support the drive manager;
• Produce monthly technical reports including financial and share them with unit manager as well as technical manager of the company;
• Keep the technical manager up to date with all maintenance and fault resolution programs in the unit.

Requirements

• Higher education in Electrical Engineer or other related areas;
• Proven professional experience of at least 05 years in a similar position preferred in the facilities management;
• CV (English) detailing relevant experiences and references that can be consulted;
• Ability to organize and Supervise maintenances;
• Deep knowledge of Electricity, construction, and Air Condition maintenace;
• Ability to work in a high pressure environment;
• Fluent in Portuguese and English Eliminatory factor;
• Domain of computer use and Office packages;
• Immediate availability;
