Finance Manager

Semente & Victorino Consulting (“SVC”) is a consulting and strategy firm focused on human
capital management and corporate immigration, whose mission is to provide strategic and
innovative solutions to clients, with the objective of promoting and facilitating domestic and
international operations. In this context, SVC is recruiting a Finance Manager for its client, a
multinational with mining operations in Maputo Province.
Location: Maputo


  • Monitor the day’s financial transactions within the company (payroll, billing and other
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and periodically management reports;
  • Participate in the analysis, research and modeling of strategic data for the company’s
  • Manage the company’s accounting, monitoring and financial reporting systems;
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements;
  • Collect, interpret and review financial information and forecast future financial information;
  • Report to management and defined parties, and provide advice on how the company and
    future business decisions affected;
  • Produce financial reports related to budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable,
    expenses and develop long-term business plans based on the reports;
  • Develop strategies that work to minimize financial risk by analyzing market and
    competition trends;
  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information for the Management team;
  • Advise on investment activities and strategic supply that the company should undertake;
  • Make the tax forecast and manage the treatment;
  • Year-end, monthly and year-end reports;
  • Maintain the organization’s financial health;
  • Analyze costs, prices, contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance
    against business plans;
  • Carry out analyzes and assessments for cost reduction opportunities;
  • Oversee the operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for them to be reached;
  • Dealing with auditors to ensure that proper monitoring of the company’s finances be maintained;
  • Communicate with various other departments, discussing company plans at the financial;
  • Hire external services for auditing, banking, investments and others financial needs as
  • Track the company’s financial situation and performance to identify areas for improvements;
  • Provide insightful information and expectations to Management to assist in making long- and short-term decisions;
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures;
  • Understand, interpret and comply with financial regulations and legislation and future paths to be followed;
  • Carry out additional tasks or others that prove necessary to proceed with the
  • Group dynamics.
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar work;
  • MS office domain, with strong skills in using the excel tool;
  • Knowledge of Primavera Management Software;
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills;
  • To be registered with the OCAM – Order of Accountants and Auditors of Mozambique;
  • Knowledge of the Mozambican Tax System;
  • Knowledge of tax legislation;
  • Experience in managing the work team;
  • Good knowledge of the English language in speech and writing.
